Doha, Qatar — September 23, 2026. Qatar Chamber hosted a dialogue session in Doha through its Women Entrepreneurs Community (WEC) initiative, run under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with the Young Entrepreneurs Club (YEC). The session put Qatari entrepreneur Dana Al-Ghorab, founder of Addoony Cosmetics and Addoony Beauty, in conversation with an audience of women entrepreneurs to walk through how she built and expanded her two beauty brands. The session was moderated by Wadha Al Athba.

What was discussed

Al-Ghorab walked participants through the practical side of building a consumer brand from scratch: developing a clear brand identity, understanding customer needs, and building out a product and service line that can hold up as the business grows. She also spoke about resilience, consistency and flexibility as qualities founders need when market conditions shift — drawing on her own experience taking Addoony from a single cosmetics line into two distinct beauty brands.

Why Qatar Chamber is running these sessions

Hamda Al-Kaabi, who heads the Women Entrepreneurs Community initiative, said the goal of the format is "fostering a supportive community where women entrepreneurs can share experiences and learn from real-life success stories and challenges." Qatar Chamber has increasingly leaned on this model — pairing an established local founder with an audience of earlier-stage women entrepreneurs — as part of its broader push to support entrepreneurship and networking among Qatari business owners.

Why it matters for Qatar's ecosystem

Sessions like this are a small but steady part of Qatar's wider effort to close the access gap for women entrepreneurs — built more on mentorship and network access than on new funding instruments. For founders navigating Qatar's small but growing consumer and beauty sector, Al-Ghorab's account is a rare instance of a homegrown founder speaking openly about scaling from a single product line into two consumer brands inside the local market.
