Qatar’s startup community gathered at Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) for a hands-on workshop exploring how artificial intelligence is changing the way software, digital products, and startups are built.

Organised by Startup Grind Doha in collaboration with QSTP, the “Ship Anything with Replit Agent 4” workshop brought together more than 100 founders, developers, creators, and technology enthusiasts to test how AI-assisted development tools can help transform early ideas into working products faster.

The session focused on a growing shift in entrepreneurship: founders no longer need to wait for a full technical team or months of development before testing an idea. With AI-powered tools, they can now build apps, websites, landing pages, data tools, and business products through natural-language prompts and guided workflows.

From idea to working product

Held at the QSTP Innovation Centre, the workshop introduced participants to Replit Agent 4, an AI-powered development system designed to help users plan, design, and build software using natural language. The event page described the tool as a way to “build apps, websites, pitch decks, data tools, and more all in one place,” while helping founders move from rough concepts to working products.

The session was led by Abdulrahman Aldhalaan, Growth Lead at Replit, who walked attendees through how Replit Agent 4 can support product creation, prototyping, design, and launch workflows. Participants also received access to Replit, allowing them to continue experimenting and building after the workshop.

Why it matters for startups

For early-stage entrepreneurs, the workshop highlighted a major opportunity: AI-assisted development can reduce the time, cost, and technical barriers usually associated with building a first product.

Instead of starting with long development cycles, founders can use AI tools to test business ideas, validate customer demand, build minimum viable products, and iterate more quickly. This is especially important for startup ecosystems like Qatar, where speed, experimentation, and access to technical talent are key to helping new ventures grow.

QSTP described Replit as one of the world’s fastest-growing AI development platforms and said the session showed how founders can move from prototype to production using natural-language software development workflows.

Replit’s global momentum

The workshop also comes at a time of strong global momentum for Replit. According to QSTP, the company recently closed a $400 million Series D funding round that valued it at $9 billion, with the Qatar Investment Authority among its investors.

Replit’s platform positions itself around the idea of describing and publishing projects through AI, with built-in support for app building, hosting, authentication, databases, monitoring, and integrations with services such as OpenAI, Stripe, and Google Workspace.

A new opening for Qatar’s builders

For Qatar’s entrepreneurs, the event was more than a product demo. It reflected how AI is opening new doors for founders who may have strong ideas but limited access to engineering resources.

By making software creation more accessible, tools like Replit Agent 4 can help local startups move faster from concept to prototype, from prototype to market validation, and eventually from small experiments to scalable businesses.

As Qatar continues investing in innovation, venture building, and digital transformation, workshops like this strengthen the connection between global technology platforms and local founders, giving entrepreneurs practical tools to build, test, and launch the next generation of products from Doha.
