- by Falak .
Doha, Qatar - Live-entertainment discovery platform Fever has announced a strategic expansion into Qatar through a partnership with Invest Qatar, as the country accelerates efforts to strengthen its position as a regional hub for culture, sports, and tech-enabled experiences.
The expansion supports Qatar’s broader push to attract high-growth international companies and develop an experiential economy aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030 and wider diversification goals.
Invest Qatar CEO Sheikh Ali Alwaleed Al-Thani said the collaboration reflects Qatar’s ambition to build on its momentum in major sports, business forums, and cultural showcases, supported by infrastructure and a tech-driven national strategy.
Fever says it will introduce globally recognised entertainment concepts to Doha and use advanced data and technology to improve how experiences are curated, promoted, and matched to audiences.
Fever said it plans to create dozens of high-skilled jobs in Qatar over the coming years, contributing to talent development and economic diversification priorities.
Rachid Elameri, Fever’s regional general manager for APAC & MEA, described Qatar as a strong fit for the company’s regional growth, citing the country’s focus on culture, sports, and live experiences.
Fever will take part in Web Summit Qatar from February 1–4, 2026, where it plans to showcase how its technology and creative capabilities can support cultural programming and live sports experiences.
Invest Qatar has positioned Web Summit Qatar 2026 as a major convening point for startups and investors, underscoring the state’s push to deepen global tech ties.
Qatar’s strategy to expand live entertainment and cultural tourism is being reinforced through ecosystem initiatives highlighted alongside the announcement.
Startup Qatar, an Invest Qatar initiative, presents itself as a one-stop platform designed to help startups establish in Doha, connect to support, and access market opportunities.
Media City Qatar is developing a dedicated ecosystem for media and creative industries intended to attract companies, enable production, and support events through infrastructure and business services.
These efforts sit alongside broader cultural programming and tourism-led event calendars aimed at increasing year-round demand for experiences and strengthening Qatar’s appeal to residents and visitors.
Fever has been scaling immersive and large-format experiences internationally. A recent example is its collaboration with Merlin Magic Making, the creative division of Merlin Entertainments, to debut the Super Neon attraction at the Mall of America.
The model bringing recognised experience formats to major venues and tailoring them to local audiences—aligns with the approach Fever and Invest Qatar indicated for Doha.
Key signals in the coming months will likely include which flagship experiences Fever launches first in Doha, how local venues and organisers integrate Fever’s discovery and distribution tools, and the pace of hiring and new ecosystem partnerships announced through 2026.
