Doha, Qatar - Xiaomi’s full product range is now available in Qatar through PayLater, giving customers the option to split purchases into interest-free installments across Intertec Group’s retail network and online store. The rollout covers both Xiaomi’s mobile and broader ecosystem lineup, making it easier for customers to access smartphones, smart home devices, wearables, TVs, tablets, and accessories through more flexible payment options.
The move brings flexible payments to a broad Xiaomi portfolio in Qatar. Intertec’s online store lists Xiaomi products across multiple categories, including mobile phones, tablets, wearables, audio devices, smart home products, cameras, televisions, and home appliances. That gives consumers the ability to finance not just a single device purchase, but also larger ecosystem upgrades across the brand’s connected product range.
Customers can use PayLater both at Intertec retail locations and through ShopIntertec.com. PayLater says its service allows shoppers in Qatar to split payments into four installments over three months, with 0% interest. The company also describes its service as Sharia-compliant and states that it works with hundreds of merchants in the country.
The partnership adds another layer of affordability to Xiaomi’s value-focused market position. Xiaomi has built much of its appeal on offering feature-rich devices at competitive prices, and installment-based purchasing can make higher-ticket electronics more accessible, especially for shoppers buying across several categories at once. For the Qatari market, that could support stronger uptake of premium smartphones, smart home setups, and connected lifestyle devices without requiring full upfront payment. This is an inference based on Xiaomi’s pricing position and PayLater’s installment model.
The Xiaomi rollout appears to build on the broader strategic partnership announced earlier this year between Intertec Group and PayLater. That earlier move positioned Buy Now, Pay Later options across Intertec’s technology retail channels, and the Xiaomi announcement extends that integration to one of the distributor’s best-known consumer electronics brands in Qatar.
For Qatar’s consumer electronics sector, the launch reflects the growing role of embedded finance in retail. By combining Xiaomi’s broad device ecosystem with installment-based payments, Intertec and PayLater are targeting convenience, affordability, and higher purchasing flexibility in a category where customers often buy multiple connected products rather than a single device.
About PayLater: PayLater is a Qatari fintech startup that provides Sharia-compliant Buy Now, Pay Later solutions, giving consumers in Qatar greater flexibility to spread payments through interest-free installments.
