Qatar Chamber Affirms Keenness to Support, Empower Qatari Entrepreneurs
- by Falak Newsroom
Qatar Chamber has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting and empowering the country's entrepreneurs, with acting general manager Ali Bu Sharbak Al Mansori telling young business builders that today's ideas are tomorrow's economic diversification story.
Al Mansori was speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Summer Innovation Camp for Entrepreneurship, held at Andaz Doha. The camp was organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Club (YEC) under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in partnership with Qatar Chamber and Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP).
In his remarks, Al Mansori pointed to entrepreneurship's role in driving economic diversification and innovation, describing the camp as "an interactive educational environment, enabling participants to discover their talents, foster teamwork, and gain practical insights." He added that "the ideas, projects, and achievements of tomorrow begin with nurturing a generation equipped with knowledge, self-confidence, creative thinking."
Dr. Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, Chairman of the Young Entrepreneurs Club, echoed that message, calling the camp "a genuine platform for young people to test their ability to make an impact, take action, and build" — framing the program less as a classroom exercise and more as a proving ground for early-stage ideas.
The camp's closing comes at a moment when Qatar's entrepreneurship ecosystem is leaning heavily on youth-facing programming to widen its pipeline of founders, pairing institutional backers like Qatar Chamber and QSTP with government ministries to move participants from ideation toward practical business skills — teamwork, talent discovery, and hands-on problem solving among them.
For Qatar's broader startup landscape, the partnership structure is itself notable: it places the country's leading business chamber and its flagship technology park alongside a youth ministry, suggesting continuity between school-age entrepreneurship exposure and the incubation and funding pathways those same institutions run for more mature startups.
