Startup Grind Doha, OSRN Launch Yalla Startups
- by Falak .
Doha, Qatar - Startup Grind Doha has partnered with Olive Suno Radio Network (OSRN) to launch Yalla Startups, Qatar's first radio and multi-platform programme dedicated exclusively to startups, entrepreneurship and innovation. The initiative aims to give founders a platform to share their entrepreneurial journeys, showcase their products and innovations, and inspire aspiring entrepreneurs through authentic conversations about building businesses in Qatar.
The weekly programme will be broadcast on Radio Olive 106.3 FM and distributed across OSRN's digital platforms, including VoiceCast, the network's flagship over-the-top (OTT) podcast platform. Each episode will feature a different startup, connecting entrepreneurs with one of Qatar's largest consumer audiences while also reaching thousands of founders, professionals and small business owners across the country.
Yalla Startups is designed to bridge the gap between startups and the wider community by increasing the visibility of local businesses and introducing their products and services to new audiences. The programme will primarily spotlight business-to-consumer (B2C) startups serving everyday consumers, while also featuring companies developing innovative solutions that help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) improve efficiency, productivity and competitiveness.
By providing startups with access to mainstream media and digital distribution, the initiative seeks to help founders build brand awareness, connect with potential customers and accelerate the adoption of locally developed innovations.
Beyond showcasing businesses, the programme will also educate and inspire listeners by sharing real founder stories, practical business lessons and the challenges behind building and scaling a company. It aims to highlight the people, ideas and innovations shaping Qatar's rapidly evolving startup ecosystem while encouraging more individuals to pursue entrepreneurship.
The launch comes as Qatar continues to strengthen its innovation economy through increased investment, entrepreneurship programmes and ecosystem-building initiatives. As the local chapter of the world's largest startup community, operating across more than 125 countries, Startup Grind Doha has played an active role in supporting founders through networking events, educational programmes, strategic partnerships and community engagement.
For Olive Suno Radio Network, the collaboration reinforces its commitment to delivering programming that informs, inspires and creates value for its diverse audience, while supporting initiatives that contribute to Qatar's economic and social development.
Ameer Ali, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Olive Suno Radio Network, said:
"Qatar's startup community deserves lasting visibility, not just a moment in the spotlight. Through Yalla Startups, we're bringing founders' stories to audiences across radio, podcasts and digital platforms, helping amplify the voices of entrepreneurs driving Qatar's future. We believe that when entrepreneurs are heard, ecosystems grow and communities thrive."
Indica Amarasinghe, Chapter Director of Startup Grind Doha, said:
